“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” (Matt. 24:10-12)
Welcome to the last days. They are here before our eyes! The signs of the times could not be more fitting to scripture than they are right now. That reality aside, the thing that I would like for you to consider is, what does that mean regarding your “faith”? With Truth as Judge, how many Christians today share in the faith of Abraham, how many possess a saving faith? (Rom. 4:16) Today, in America alone, we have over one-hundred million people that profess an allegiance to Christ. But what message is it that they have accepted? (2 Cor. 11:3-4, Heb. 4:2) Will their faith be commended by God? (2 Cor. 10:18)
Today, we see lots of people referencing their “faith” and we see an overwhelming number of people jumping on board regarding their expression as to what “love” is. But what is this “faith” that Christians believe in today, and what is this “love” really about? Is it faith in God’s Word and a genuine love and regard for others above yourself, or is it something else? For sure we are not seeing a decrease in “faith” as far as the word is concerned, but we most certainly are seeing a drastic decrease in faith as it applies to holding strictly to the Word of God! I am talking about a faith that is defined by believing God, holding His Word to be the foundation of our “beliefs”. What does Jesus say regarding “faith” in the last days? “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8b)
When Jesus references the lack of faith on earth at the time of His return, it wasn’t faith in the many myths of man, faith in some godless political movement, or even faith in the false teaching that is overwhelmingly prevalent within the church today that He was talking about! No, Jesus was talking about the number of people who will possess a saving faith in their hearts. And the sobering Truth, if you read between the lines, is that there will not be many! What I want you to consider is, what is it exactly that you would say that your “faith” is in? Is your faith in your religion? I hope not! Is your faith in your church? I hope not! Is your faith in what your pastor/priest says? I certainly hope not! For sure, the Christian religion is based on a true story! Amen? But just like a Hollywood picture, the sexy, fabricated version of the truth sells much better than the real things! Which is an easier sell: His Truth, or Satan’s deception? I hope we have not “grown” so completely ignorant of His Word that we do not all know the answer to that one! But, oh how far the “beliefs” within the religion of Christianity are today from the Truth found in His Word! That is the truth that most Christians today are ignorant of.
The difference between the Truth that gave birth to the religion of Christianity and the complete garbage that you hear coming from the mouths of pastors today, is Satan’s deception intended to lead you down a wide path to hell! Now please understand that I am not calling your pastor the devil, and I am not saying that everyone who agrees with the false teaching within the church today is without the Lord and on their way to hell. God’s Word can make those claims (Matt. 23:13-15) but the “secret things of God” aren’t for us to know. (Deut. 29:29) I do not know, and cannot know, whether a particular pastor is ignorant/blind of his deceived mind, or a willing servant of Satan! But I do know the Word of God and can smell Satan’s deception a mile away! And I am here to say that these end times do coincide with the reality that the church is now delivering a complete lie, rendering the house of God to be the synagogue of Satan! (Rev. 3:9-10) And for me, that is not the company that I want to keep at His coming! “Look, your house has been left to you desolate.” (Matt. 23:38)
Understand this, the end times would not be the end times if most Christians still believed God, believed His Word to be Truth! If that were the case, then the Gentile order would not yet be “fulfilled”. (Rom. 11:25) Yes, Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the Gentile’s hearts have hardened themselves. This “hardening” means no longer holding firmly to His Word; no longer believing that the act of sin is the hatred of Jesus, His Light. (John 3:19-21) And regarding that Truth, the Christian today most certainly holds to a different faith! Today, the church perceives sin as something that Christ is responsible for cleansing rather than being something that His disciple is responsible to turn from! (2 Tim. 2:19) Utterly detestable! It is blasphemy! (2 Peter 2:12) It is only fitting then that the end times be at a time when the Word of God is rejected by the very ones that claim allegiance to Christ. And that is where we are today! Translation: We have plenty of people praising Jesus out their mouths, meanwhile those same people agree with a message that is completely contrary to His Word. The verdict: Christianity has become a Christless religion full of “believers” that hold only to a name but completely reject His Word, that is Christ Jesus! The end is near! (Rom. 13:11-14) Genuinely repent, and Live! Or spend eternity wishing that you would’ve! Fear the Lord!
